Jason Nazary and I have been playing regularly for close to six years in a number of configurations, but most regularly in my band BLOAR. In mid-June after I had a few months of exile from NYC due to the pandemic, I returned and we were both eager to play again. Given that Jason's rehearsal space on Moultrie St – where we had played dozens of times before – was large enough that we could reasonably distance, we decided to forge ahead despite the risk. We ended up tracking three of these duo sessions in as many weeks and are happy to release them. At the end of the month Jason gave up the Moultrie space, hence the name "Au Revoir a Moultrie."
